Костенурките нинджа

In 1992, Bulgarian publisher Egmont Bulgaria launched a short-run comic series simply titled Костенурките нинджа (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), lasting just four issues through 1994. Writers Златна Костова and Александра Велева helmed the series, adapting the iconic heroes for a Bulgarian audience during the early '90s global TMNT craze. Though brief, it stands as a notable example of localized European comic publishing, bringing the sewer-dwelling quartet to readers in Bulgaria with a distinctly regional touch.
