In 2001, the Union of Evangelical Pentecostal Churches in Bulgaria published a single-issue comic honoring Saints Cyril and Methodius, the Byzantine brothers who created the Glagolitic alphabet and brought Christianity to the Slavic peoples. Illustrated by Jerry and Faith Maccola, this Bulgarian release presents the historical and religious legacy of the "Apostles to the Slavs" through a faith-based lens, offering a unique, church-published perspective on a foundational moment in Slavic civilization.
