In the early 2010s, Egmont Bulgaria launched Самолети, a Bulgarian comic series running 11 issues from 2013 to 2015. Featuring stories by writers Венета Янкова and Alessandro Sisti, with art from Massimiliano Narciso, Paco Desiato, and Aurelio Mazzara, it brought high-flying adventures to local readers. The series stands out as a dedicated Bulgarian-language publication from a major European comics publisher, offering accessible, action-oriented storytelling for a young audience.
