From 2019 onward, the Dutch publisher Arboris has been releasing XL, a ten-issue series that blends historical adventure with a touch of the supernatural. The most consistent creative voices are writer Hans van den Boom and artist Fabrice Le Hénanff, who collaborate with a rotating team including Roger Seiter, Philippe Berthet, and Stéphane Perger to craft each installment. This series stands out for its European bande dessinée style and its focus on a mysterious, oversized artifact that draws characters into perilous journeys across time and place.
