About the series
In Finland, the long-running Belgian series Clifton was introduced to local readers under the title Yksityisetsivä Clifton (Private Detective Clifton), published by Lehtimiehet in 1980. Spanning just two issues, this Finnish edition features the work of writer Bob de Groot and artist Turk, who were the primary creative team behind the original series. The stories follow the mild-mannered, retired British colonel turned detective, known for his tweed suits and dry wit, in charmingly old-fashioned mystery adventures. While brief, this release marks the character's entry into the Finnish comics market.
