Yogi Bear
Marvel · 1977–1979 · 9 issues
About the series
From 1977 to 1979, Marvel Comics brought the picnic-basket-loving antics of Yogi Bear to the spinner rack in a nine-issue series. Written primarily by Mark Evanier, the book teamed Yogi with a rotating cast of Hanna-Barbera pals—including Boo Boo, Ranger Smith, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Fred Flintstone, and even Scooby-Doo—for lighthearted, all-ages adventures. Artistic duties were shared by industry veterans Dick Bickenbach, Pete Alvarado, and Sal Buscema, giving the series a polished, classic cartoon feel. It stands as a charming snapshot of late-1970s licensed comics, blending Jellystone Park mischief with the broader Hanna-Barbera universe.
