About the series
This French-Belgian sci-fi series, originally published in the 1970s by Dupuis, was repackaged for English-speaking readers by Semic in eight issues from 1988 to 1997. The stories follow the brilliant young Japanese electronics engineer Yoko Tsuno, whose adventures blend hard science fiction, global mystery, and alien encounters. Created by writer-artist Roger Leloup, the series is celebrated for its strong, resourceful heroine and meticulous, beautifully rendered artwork that predates many later female-led action comics.
