About the series
During World War II, Marvel’s Young Allies (1941–1946) assembled a teenage super-team alongside Captain America and the Human Torch for 20 issues of patriotic adventure. Written primarily by Stan Lee, Otto Binder, and Sylvia Fiegen, with art by Al Gabriele, Don Rico, and Al Bellman, the series pitted its young heroes against Axis villains like Adolf Hitler and the Red Skull. It stands as an early example of Marvel’s wartime team-up comics, blending youthful camaraderie with the era’s pulp-style heroics.
