From 1967 to 1969, BSV - Williams published Zeichentrickfilm Klassiker, a 26-issue comic series that adapted classic animated shorts into sequential art. Most frequently written by Michael Maltese and Don R. Christensen, with art by Phil De Lara, John Carey, and Tony Strobl, the series served as a nostalgic bridge for German readers, preserving the spirit of beloved cartoon characters in a printed medium.
