Lord Blackwing
Dark, menacing, and dripping with medieval villainy, Lord Blackwing swept onto the scene in 1993 when Marvel launched King Arthur and the Knights of Justice — a short-lived but spirited Copper/Modern Age series that pitted Arthurian legend against comics-page adventure. Brought to life by Mike Lackey and Keith Wilson, this brooding antagonist shares his pages with the likes of King Arthur, Lady Morgana, and the fearsome Warlord Viper, suggesting he moves in very dangerous company indeed. His catalog footprint may be small at just three appearances across the series' brief 1993–1994 run, but for collectors who love a deep-cut villain with a wonderfully theatrical name, Lord Blackwing is exactly the kind of obscure gem that makes hunting through back-issue bins so rewarding.
