Arthur Suydam, born May 18, 1953, is an American comic book artist best known for his visceral, painted covers and interiors on *Marvel Zombies* and *Deadpool*. He began his career in the 1970s, contributing to magazines like *Heavy Metal*, *Epic Illustrated*, and *National Lampoon* before moving into comics. His signature style—a lush, painterly approach that often emphasizes gore and texture—made him a go-to for horror-tinged superhero and licensed work. Suydam’s comic book credits span *Batman*, *Conan*, *Tarzan*, *Predator*, *Aliens*, and *Death Dealer*, but he is most closely associated with the *Marvel Zombies* franchise, where his covers became iconic.
