In "Head Trip Part One," Deadpool is hired by AIM to steal a dangerous toxin from the Savage Land before Hydra can get it—only to crash-land into a world where Ka-Zar rules the wilds. With a mysterious blonde doctor as his contact and a tribe of cannibals as his new captors, Deadpool soon discovers the toxin he's after is something far more personal: a decomposed version of his own head. Written by Victor Gischler and illustrated by Bong Dazo, with colors by Matt Milla and inks by Jose Pimentel, this 2009 issue features a cover by Arthur Suydam.

In "Why Is It to Save Me, I Must Kill You," Deadpool sets out to steal a blood sample from the Hulk to help cure his own condition, leading to a chaotic and unpredictable showdown. The story dives into the absurdity and tension of a mission where the only way to survive is to fight the very thing meant to save him.
