Bob Eggleton

Bob Eggleton was born on September 13, 1960, in the United States. He is best known as a science fiction, fantasy, and horror artist whose work has appeared across comics, book covers, and film. Eggleton’s path into comics began with illustrations for publications like *Famous Monsters of Filmland* and *G-Fan*, leading to steady work with Dark Horse Comics, Random House, and IDW. He is particularly associated with Godzilla, having contributed to IDW’s *Godzilla* series, *Godzilla: History’s Greatest Monster*, and *Godzilla in Hell*, as well as *Predator: Primal* and *Mister X*. His style blends meticulous detail with a vivid, atmospheric sense of scale, often depicting colossal creatures and cosmic landscapes. Eggleton also worked as a concept artist on films such as *Sphere* (1997), *Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius* (2001), and *The Ant Bully* (2006), and appeared as an extra in *Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla* (2002). He is a nine-time Hugo Award winner for Best Pro Artist, first winning in 1994, and took home the Hugo for Best Related Book in 2001 for his art collection *Greetings from Earth*.
