Craig Kyle
Craig Paul Kyle was born on November 3, 1971, in the United States. He is best known in comics for co-creating the fan-favorite character X-23, a clone and eventual successor to Wolverine. Kyle entered the industry through Marvel Comics, where his writing career spanned from 2005 to 2020, with credits on 79 issues. His most prominent work appeared in series such as *New X-Men*, *X-Force*, and the solo title *X-23: Target X*, often in collaboration with writer Christopher Yost. Together, they also crafted the miniseries *X-Force: Sex and Violence*. Beyond comics, Kyle served as a producer on several of Marvel’s direct-to-DVD animated films and contributed to the live-action *Thor* film series. His signature style is marked by gritty, character-driven stories that explore trauma and identity, particularly through female protagonists. Later in his career, he remained active in animation and film production. Kyle’s co-creation of X-23 earned him a lasting place in Marvel lore, and the character has since appeared in video games, television, and feature films.
