Milton Knight Jr. was born on May 12, 1962, in the United States. He is an American cartoonist, animator, painter, and comic book artist whose work is most recognized for its deliberate embrace of 1930s Golden Age cartooning. Knight directed animation for television series such as *Cool World*, *Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog*, and *The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat*. In comics, he was active from 1982 to 1996, contributing as artist, writer, colorist, inker, and letterer. His most credited titles include *Midnite*, *Hugo*, *Mighty Mouse*, *Hinkley*, *Betty Boop's Big Break*, and *Slug 'N' Ginger*. Knight’s style—playfully crude, rubbery, and steeped in vintage theatricality—drew praise from Gary Groth, who called him "clearly a maladjusted oddball, but it was precisely because of this [Groth] liked him." Knight’s career spanned both independent comics and mainstream animation, where his distinctive visual voice remained consistent. He is remembered as a singular talent who kept a bygone cartoon aesthetic alive in modern contexts.
