Nick Bertozzi was born on May 26, 1970, in the United States. He is a cartoonist, commercial illustrator, and teacher whose work in comics spans both solo projects and collaborations. Bertozzi first gained significant attention with his series *Rubber Necker*, published by Alternative Comics, which earned him two Harvey Awards in 2003—one for Best New Talent and another for Best New Series. Over his career, he has produced more than a dozen graphic novels, roughly half of which he wrote and drew himself, with the remainder being collaborations. Among his most recognized works are *Houdini: The Handcuff King* and *Jerusalem: A Family Portrait*, as well as contributions to the anthologies *Strange Tales* and *Strange Tales II*, and the trade paperback *Captain America: Red, White & Blue*. Bertozzi has also worked as a commercial illustrator and taught cartooning. His style is often noted for its clean linework and expressive storytelling. He remains active in the comics community, balancing his own creative projects with teaching and illustration work.
