Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey #[nn]
"Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey" is a gripping, meticulously drawn chronicle of one of history’s most daring survival stories, told with quiet intensity by Nick Bertozzi, who handles every aspect of the artwork and lettering. Following the ill-fated Endurance as it becomes trapped in ice and eventually crushed, the story captures the relentless struggle of Shackleton and his crew across treacherous terrain and open sea. The cover by Nick Bertozzi perfectly sets the tone—grim, determined, and utterly immersive—matching the stark, powerful visuals inside.

When his ship Endurance becomes ice-locked, then breaks up after ten months, Shackleton leads his men on a five-month journey by ice, land, and sea to Elephant Island. From thence with a handful of men he sails a small boat 800 miles to South Georgia, climbs a mountain range, and crosses the island on foot to get help.
