Pamela Rambo is a colorist whose three-decade career spans some of the most celebrated comics series of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Born in 1968, she entered the industry in 1993 and over the following thirty years accumulated credits on more than 260 issues across publishers including Dark Horse and DC Comics's Vertigo imprint.
Her most sustained and recognized contribution came on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Vertigo series *Preacher*. Rambo initially stepped in as a fill-in colorist on issue 13, then took over permanently from Matt Hollingsworth beginning with issue 31, carrying the book's visual tone through the entire back half of its run. That consistency was part of what helped *Preacher* earn an Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series in 1999. She brought similarly committed work to Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra's *Y: The Last Man*, where Vaughan himself has credited her as an unsung hero of the series — a sentiment echoed by its readership.
Beyond Vertigo, Rambo's coloring appeared regularly on Dark Horse's *Star Wars* line and on several Batman titles at DC, including *Batman: Shadow of the Bat* and *Batman: Gotham Knights*, as well as *Green Lantern*. Her ability to sustain a coherent palette across long serialized runs, adapting to different pencilers while preserving tonal continuity, marks her as one of the more quietly indispensable colorists of her generation.
