“Southern Discomfort Part 3”

In "Southern Discomfort Part 3," Eric, still masked as Big Head, confronts the terrifying aftermath of Papa Croc’s voodoo ritual when his sister Jill falls into a mysterious coma after being captured in one of the cult’s snuff films. With doctors helpless and Jasmine warning that only a direct challenge to Papa Croc can break the curse, Eric must decide whether to face the dark force behind the spell—or lose his sister forever. Written by Rich Hedden and illustrated by Goran Delic, with colors by Pamela Rambo and letters by Pat Brosseau, this 1996 issue delivers a tense, atmospheric escalation in the series’ Southern Gothic horror arc, all framed by Kyle Hotz’s striking cover.

As Big Head, Eric saves his sister from being a human sacrifice in one of Papa Croc's voodoo snuff films. He finds, however, that she is completely comatose and unresponsive and the doctors can't do a thing for her. Jasmine explains that Jill has been put under an evil voodoo spell and the only way Eric can snap her out of it is to face off against Papa Croc.
