Roussos
George Roussos was a Greek-American comic book artist and colorist, best known for his inking and coloring work on Marvel Comics titles from the 1970s onward. Born in 1915 in the United States, he began his career in the 1940s, contributing to early superhero and adventure comics. Roussos gained prominence as a reliable inker and colorist, often collaborating with pencillers like John Buscema and Sal Buscema on series such as *Captain America*, *The Defenders*, *What If?*, *Doctor Strange*, *Tarzan*, and *Fantastic Four Annual*. His steady, clean inking style enhanced the work of many artists, and he was a key contributor to the visual consistency of Marvel’s Bronze Age output. Among his notable co-creations is the character of the Red Skull’s daughter, Sin, though his primary legacy lies in his extensive background work. Roussos continued working into the 1990s, with his credited output spanning from 1975 to 2020. He passed away in 2000 at the age of 85. While he did not receive major individual awards, his decades of service earned him respect among peers and fans as a dependable craftsman who helped shape the look of classic Marvel comics.
