“Good Man In The Clutch!”

In "Good Man In The Clutch!", the Highwayman's grip on Mary finally breaks as a colossal alien ship looms over the Short Stop diner, setting off a high-octane chase between him and U.S. in their respective rigs. As the two clash in a brutal exchange of fire, the Highwayman suddenly halts U.S.'s truck—and reveals a shocking truth: he’s U.S.’s long-lost brother, Jefferson. Written by Milgrom and illustrated by Springer, with inks by Esposito, colors by Roussos, and letters by Chiang, this pivotal issue features a cover by Michael Golden that captures the moment the alien presence descends.
