Ryan North (born October 20, 1980) is a Canadian writer and computer programmer best known for his work in both webcomics and mainstream superhero comics. He first gained attention as the creator of *Dinosaur Comics*, a long-running webcomic with a fixed art template. North later moved into licensed and franchise work, writing for the *Adventure Time* comic series before taking on Marvel’s *The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl*, a humorous and critically acclaimed run that became a signature title. He has also written for *Fantastic Four*, *One World Under Doom*, and *Hulk: Smash Everything*, and contributed to *Star Trek: Lower Decks*, *Jughead*, and *Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton*. His work has earned multiple Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards, and several of his titles have appeared on *New York Times* bestseller lists. North’s style often blends sharp humor with accessible storytelling, and he has collaborated with artists including Erica Henderson and Derek Charm.
