The Pack escapes being arrested by CRADLE with the help of new hero Agent Aether, who offers to be their legally-required mentor. When their other choices for mentor don't work out, they agree to let him tutor them, but they are surprised when he just wants them to use their powers to produce clean energy. After they are gone, Agent Aether reveals himself as the Wizard, who has his own plans for the Power Pack.
