Scott Edelman
Scott Edelman is best known as a writer of science fiction, fantasy, and horror, with a comic book career spanning from 1975 to 2013. He was born Scott Jeffrey Edelman on May 31, 1955, in the United States. Edelman entered the comics field through fanzines, most notably editing *The Comic Reader*, before moving into professional work. His most credited titles include *Captain Marvel*, *Dead of Night*, *Doorway to Nightmare*, *Die Spinne*, and *Eks almanah*. He often wrote supernatural and horror stories, bringing a literary sensibility to genre comics. Edelman collaborated with artists such as Steve Ditko and John Buscema on various projects. He is noted for co-creating the character of the Golem with artist Val Mayerik in *Dead of Night* #11.
