“Dark, Dark Demon-Night!”

In "Dark, Dark Demon-Night!", the Red Skull launches a desperate bid to seize control of the U.S. ahead of the bicentennial, wielding the Cosmic Cube to summon Captain America to his side. With Sal Buscema’s dynamic art and Mike Esposito’s sharp inks bringing the clash to life, the battle of wits and wills takes an unexpectedly sweet turn when Captain America outsmarts the Cube with a Hostess Twinkie—just as Ron Wilson’s cover captures the moment’s chaotic energy, inked by Joe Sinnott.
