Stephanie Hans is a French illustrator and comic book artist best known for co-creating the dark fantasy series *Die* with writer Kieron Gillen. Born in France, she entered the comics industry through cover and interior illustration work, quickly establishing a painterly, moody style that blends lush color with dramatic shadow. Her early credits include work for Marvel Comics on titles such as *Angela: Asgard's Assassin*, *Journey into Mystery*, *Angela: Queen of Hel*, and *1602: Witch Hunter Angela*, where her art brought a distinctive, almost storybook quality to superhero and fantasy settings. She also contributed to DC Comics and Image Comics, but her signature achievement remains *Die*, a critically acclaimed series that earned three Hugo Award nominations and won a British Fantasy Award. Hans served as artist, colorist, and inker across the series, shaping its grim, game-inspired world. Her later work includes the *Die: Loaded* one-shot. Active in the industry from 2012 into 2026, she has been credited on over seventy issues.
