Science Fiction Adventures, Vol. 1, No. 3 (1958)

This issue contains two short novels and three short stories. "Clansmen of Fear" by Henry Hasse follows Donal, Elder of a post-apocalyptic Zone settlement dependent on radiation from the ruins of Chago for survival. When Kathri returns from unauthorized excursion to the Outlands where her sister Dorthi has joined nomadic raiders, Donal confronts troubling evidence that some women are developing immunity to the Zone's radiation dependency. Meanwhile, a parallel narrative introduces Commander V'Naarik of an alien ship conducting sector surveys, registering catastrophic energy loss. The second novel, "Earth Shall Live Again!" by Calvin M. Knox, is described as sequel to the previous issue's "Chalice of Death." Additional stories are "Man Overboard" by Alex Kirs, "Moon Dust" by Richard R. Smith, and "Moths" by Charles L. Fontenay. The editorial notes the death of C.M. Kombluth in March at age thirty-five.
