Leslie Charteris edited this issue, which includes six mystery and detective stories. "The Angel's Eye" by Charteris follows Simon Templar (the Saint) in Amsterdam, where he encounters an English couple, the Upwaters, desperate to locate a valuable blue diamond called the Angel's Eye. The stone, worth half a million dollars, was entrusted to them for re-cutting but vanishes when they attempt to retrieve it from the master cutter, who denies ever receiving it—a scheme the Saint recognizes as "a swindle of such originality and impudence." Other featured stories include "Poggioli and the Refugees" by T.S. Stribling; "The Treasure Hunt" by Ellery Queen; "And So Died Riabouchinska" by Ray Bradbury; "The Question Mark" by Octavus Roy Cohen; "The Pickled Punks" by Fredric Brown; and "But the Patient Died" by Lawrence G. Blochman, alongside additional stories by Cleve F. Adams and Edward Ronns.
