Howard contributes the verse "The Ride of Falume."

John D. Swain's brief "Hunger" explores hallucinatory experiences of starvation. Wallace West's "Loup-Garou" presents a werewolf narrative set in medieval England involving Castle Bamecan. H.P. Lovecraft's "Pickman's Model" describes grotesque creatures emerging from cellar walls in New England. Seabury Quinn's "The Poltergeist" offers an occult adventure featuring his recurring character Jules de Grandin. Donald Wandrei's "The Red Brain" depicts cosmic dust clouds and an artificial intelligence. The issue concludes with the conclusion of Otis Adelbert Kline's "The Bride of Osiris," an Egyptian serial involving Osiris, ceremonial festivals, and palace dungeons, plus a reprint of Elizabeth Gaskell's "The Old Nurse's Story."
