A Distant Soil #9

Mar 1986 · WaRP Graphics · 1.50 USD; 2.25 CAD
“Tears & Fears”

In "Tears & Fears," Colleen Doran delivers a tense, character-driven chapter of A Distant Soil as Rieken, learning Jason is with the Resistance, risks everything to bring him back. With Doran handling every aspect of the interior art and lettering, the issue builds quiet dread as a small group flees an ambush and retreats to the Avatar’s quarters—only for Jason to slip away in the dark, leaving Ninivir behind and moving unseen toward the Avatar’s bedroom. The cover, also by Doran, captures the story’s brooding intimacy.
