The first story involves Abbott and Costello encountering a dangerous wild beast in a snowy setting while trying to acquire fine robes at a hotel. In "Searchez La Femme," Abbott and Costello assist Professor Tippet, an expert on rare gems, in investigating the disappearance of his wife, though their investigation methods prove questionable. In "Throwing the Bull," Costello visits a psychiatrist (Dr. Syko) to overcome his fear of bullies, and the doctor's cure involves exposing him to a character named Mr. Bull to conquer his phobia.
Stranded in the Far East without funds to pay their hotel bill, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello resort to borrowing clothes from a guest's room—only to find themselves mistaken for Prince Hari-Kari and swept into an unexpected wedding ceremony. When the real Prince Hari-Kari arrives to expose their masquerade, the two comedians must scramble through a chaotic chase involving an angry vendor, a loose parrot, and their hapless hotel-keeper Sim Sam, who ends up bearing the brunt of the confusion.
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello land a painting job at a building—if they can keep their hands steady long enough to finish it. When Lou tangles with paint remover, a forgotten shower, and the increasingly furious building manager Mr. Burlap, a simple ceiling gets painted with chaos instead. Their attempt to get paid for the work takes a turn neither of them saw coming.
When Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are hired to investigate the disappearance of Professor Abercrombie Tippet's wife, Clarissa, the bumbling detectives bungle their way through the professor's cottage, suspecting foul play at every turn. Their chaotic investigation—complete with window-climbing mishaps, run-ins with the household staff, and increasingly wild accusations—spirals into slapstick mayhem as they chase shadows and misunderstandings throughout the house. What the absent-minded Professor Tippet has actually forgotten is far simpler than any crime the detectives imagine.
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello visit Dr. Syko hoping to cure Lou's crippling fears—chief among them, his boss Bull Curham, the roughest dock foreman around. When Bud hatches a scheme involving a slingshot and an ancient parchment to make Lou braver, things don't go quite as planned, and Lou ends up with unexpected power over the very man he fears most. It's a classic tale of comedy and comeuppance at the docks in 1956.
