The Avenger #2

An American scientist is abducted by Red China, prompting the President to call upon Hiram Wright, a financial wizard and elder statesman, who reveals that he and his nephew Roger Wright are the only ones who know the Avenger's true identity. The Avenger is tasked with rescuing the scientist from Red China and retrieving a portable H-bomb before the enemy can use it. In a secondary story titled "The Metal Menace," the Avenger's plane crashes and he discovers himself in a battle against international gangsters and foreign scientists wielding a deadly threat.
