The third chapter of *Alice Matheson* delivers an unsettling image straight from a makeshift operating theater: a dark-clad woman in black latex aims a pistol at a bloodied, restrained figure strapped to a surgical table beneath cold overhead lamps, with a monitoring screen glowing in the background. The title "Red Amy" hints at exactly the kind of dangerous tension Istin and Radivojevic are building here, and the crimson blood spatters punctuating the series logo reinforce just how high the stakes have become. Radivojevic's detailed, atmospheric linework and Jean Bastide's moody coloring make this 2017 entry a genuinely gripping piece of European thriller comics.
