After Green Lantern stops two attempts on prize-fighter "Kid" McKay's life, mobsters working for Mark Karaste kidnap Kid's wife Mary to force him to take a dive in the big fight. Green Lantern convinces the Kid to go ahead with the fight, taking a dive in the last round if he has to, while GL looks for Mary. He finds Mary and gets her to the arena in time so Kid can knock out the champ before the bell, while he corrals Karaste and gets a confession from him.
