With Danette Reilly now wielding fire powers after her ordeal in an artificial volcano, the heroes must unite and free the imprisoned Justice Society members to stop the chaos before time itself unravels. Written by Roy Thomas and brought to life by Rich Buckler’s dynamic art, Jerry Ordway’s inks, and Carl Gafford’s colors, this pivotal issue features a cover by Rich Buckler and Dick Giordano, marking a key moment in the series’ alternate-history saga.

As Per Degaton begins his plan to attack the United States' west coast after the strike on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, the All-Stars -- along with Danette Reilly who gained fire powers after being left unconscious inside an artificial volcano by Degaton -- confront Degaton and the other villains out of their time: Professor Zodiak, Wotan, and Solomon Grundy. The All-Stars free the JSAers and together they defeat the villains, who all return to their proper times, including Per Degaton who reawakens back in 1947, once again a lab assistant to Prof. Zee, believing his near victory but a dream.
