Alpha Flight #11
In "Days of Future Present, Past Participle Part 3," Alpha Flight faces the dire consequences of a timeline rewritten by a desperate choice—Canada lies in ruins after a Plodex invasion and nuclear devastation. With Guardian caught between past and future, Nemesis sends Zuzha back in time to alter fate, but the ripple effects have already reshaped the world. Written by Scott Lobdell and illustrated by Clayton Henry, with inks by Mark Morales and colors by Digital Rainbow, this pivotal issue explores the cost of heroism in a fractured reality. The cover by Clayton Henry and Mark Morales captures the weight of that moment.

After convincing Guardian to go to New York and defeat Jerry Jaxon, Alpha Flight discovers that this new divergent timeline results in the destruction of Canada by Plodex aliens and nuclear fire. Nemesis sends Zuzha back in time to convince Guardian to return to Canada instead of calling the old Alpha Flight to New York where they were destined to become hugely popular and remain in the U.S., thus causing Canada to go kaput. In the future, the new timeline created by her instructions have Nemesis being confronted by the Canadian Militia for a Super-Hero Free Country.
