Alpha prepares to fight Snowbird but she is an illusion set by Shaman. Somehow the Guardians are linked & they feel that something’s wrong with both teams fighting. Weapon X takes Huxley to the Hellpounder a nuclear bomb & makes him activate it. Thinking that Weapon X is trying to crack his armor & infect the world, both Alphas fight him. They later learn that he is trying to commit suicide & that he has removed the virus from Aurora. They try to save him & get him help. When the bomb is set off, Weapon X holds the delay button & sacrifices himself so that the bomb can detonate underground.
