This French Urban Comics edition collects the opening chapter of "Underworld," written by Dan Abnett with art by Stjepan Šejić, who also handles inks and colors throughout. The cover — rendered entirely by Šejić — presents a battle-worn Aquaman in his golden scale armor, hair loose and flowing in the deep-sea currents, poised mid-strike with his trident against a luminous, bubble-filled abyss that immediately signals danger lurking in the dark. It's a striking portrait of Arthur Curry looking harder and more weathered than usual, and a confident opening statement for what promises to be a grittier descent into the depths of Atlantis.
