Archie (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #240
In "Shore Things," Archie finds himself juggling two unexpected roles on the same day: a reluctant intern for the Riverdale Bugle and an accidental judge at a beachside beauty pageant. Written by George Gladir and brought to life with vibrant energy by artists Stan Goldberg and Bob Smith, this lighthearted adventure captures Archie’s classic charm as he navigates the chaos of the seaside with his usual mix of good intentions and comedic missteps. The cover by Fernando Ruiz and Bob Smith perfectly captures the summer fun.

As Archie is heading to the beach, he gets a letter accepting him as an intern to the Riverdale Bugle, the local newspaper, but he has to start that same day. He begrudgingly accepts and gets sent on a bad assignment at the beach. But, as luck would have it, he ends up as a judge for a beauty pageant at that same beach.
