“...And Die in Infamy! [The Pacific Overlords Part II]”

In "...And Die in Infamy! [The Pacific Overlords Part II]," the Avengers West Coast splinters across the Pacific as Hawkeye and Spider-Woman are left behind to guard a captured giant infant. When they uncover a hidden lead, they race to Hawaii—just in time to witness Namor under attack at the Pearl Harbor memorial by Sunfire and Pele. Though Sunfire claims allegiance to the Pacific Overlords, his defeat reveals he was under the mind control of Demonicus. Meanwhile, the Commission orders USAgent to eliminate Spider-Woman. Written by Roy Thomas and Dann Thomas, with art by David Ross and Tom Morgan, and a cover by Tom Morgan, this 1991 issue blends global intrigue with personal stakes in a story that ripples across continents.

The AWC split up to track down the Pacific Overlords in Australia and Japan. Hawkeye and Spider-Woman are left behind to take care of the giant infant they captured. When Hawkeye and Spider-Woman discover a location that was missed, they head to Hawaii and arrive just in time to witness Namor being attacked by Sunfire and Pele at the Pearl Harbor memorial. Even though Sunfire claims to be a Pacific Overlord during the fight, once he is defeated, it turns out he was being mind controlled by Demonicus. The Commission tasks USAgent with tracking down and killing Spider-Woman.
