Spinning out of the Hellboy universe, *B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: Russia* brings Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, Tyler Crook, and colorist Dave Stewart together for a grimly compelling chapter subtitled "An Unmarked Grave." The cover — penciled and inked by both Mignola and Duncan Fegredo — sets a suitably ominous tone: a blue-suited figure stands defiantly as an enormous fanged creature looms overhead, while a helmeted character crouches nearby and a fallen body bleeds red against the stark black background. It's the kind of image that makes the B.P.R.D.'s ongoing struggle against apocalyptic horror feel both intimate and enormous.
