Duncan Fegredo

Duncan Fegredo, born in 1964, is a British comic book artist best known for his fluid, expressive linework and atmospheric storytelling. He entered the industry in the late 1980s, gaining early attention for his work on *Enigma*, a surreal, psychological series written by Peter Milligan that showcased his ability to blend the mundane with the bizarre. Fegredo’s signature style—detailed, moody, and dynamic—made him a sought-after collaborator. He is perhaps most celebrated for his run on Mike Mignola’s *Hellboy*, particularly the miniseries *Hellboy: Darkness Calls*, where he took over art duties and brought a distinctive, textured energy to the character’s supernatural adventures. Other notable works include *Ultimate Adventures* with writer Mark Millar, *MPH* with Mark Millar, and the series *Girl* with writer Peter Milligan. Fegredo has also contributed to *All American Comics II* and served as colorist, inker, and letterer across his career, active from 1989 to 2024. His later life remains largely private, but his influence endures in the British comics scene. He has received critical acclaim, including an Eisner Award nomination for his work on *Hellboy*.
