One story features a bear who becomes ill after eating food and suspects poisoning, calling for a doctor. Another story depicts a cat named Spotty getting into mischief with a young girl, stealing from her and creating chaos before she allows the hungry cat to eat. The issue also includes "Ygolohtym" (Mythology spelled backwards), a story by H.P. Karg featuring Zeus and a foul bowl, in which animal characters narrowly escape a lightning strike during a storm.
Zeus, the mythological god of thunder, accidentally drops his bowling ball—his essential tool for making thunder—during a game at the Zeus Bowling Alley, and it crashes to Earth where scientists begin studying it. When Zeus travels down to retrieve it, he finds himself tangled in a series of mishaps with the local police and university guards, forcing him to call on his fellow gods for help to reclaim his stolen thunder-maker. By the time Zeus recovers his bowling ball with assistance from Morpheus and Eros, he's learned that sometimes the best solutions come from teamwork—even among the divine.
