About the series
Barnyard Comics, published by Pines from 1944 to 1950, was a lighthearted, 31-issue anthology of funny-animal antics, most often drawn by the reliably cheerful trio of Jack Bradbury, Al Hubbard, and Lynn Karp. Its 1940s farmyard setting offered a gentle, gag-driven escape during the war years and their aftermath, filled with talking cows, pigs, and other livestock getting into playful mischief. While not a landmark series, it stands as a charming example of the era's wholesome, animal-focused humor comics, sustained by the consistent, clean cartooning of its core artists.
