Paul Dini and Carlos D'Anda deliver the lead-in comic to the highly anticipated video game, and the cover sets the tone perfectly — a battle-worn Batman strides confidently across a cable high above the grim, walled-off streets of Arkham City, blimp and crumbling cityscape looming behind him in a cold, desaturated haze. The armored Dark Knight looks every bit as formidable as the forbidding urban prison below, cape billowing as he surveys the chaos beneath his feet. If the mood of "Ruins" matches what Carlos D'Anda has painted here, fans of both the game and Dini's celebrated Batman work are in for something genuinely compelling.
