Batman / Green Arrow: The Poison Tomorrow #[nn]
This 1992 DC one-shot brings together two of comics' great street-level heroes in a story written by Denny O'Neil with art by Michael Netzer and inks by Joe Rubinstein. The cover by Michael Netzer is a moody, blue-drenched painting: a looming Batman clutches a glowing spherical object while Green Arrow, bow drawn taut beside him, stands ready at his side — the crackling light between them giving the whole image a charged, urgent energy. It's a handsome package that makes a strong case for why Batman and Green Arrow have always been a natural pairing.
