A gray stallion injured in a fall heads home but is captured by horse rancher Dart Elkins, who plans to trap Black Fury using the gray as bait. Black Fury is lured into a corral where Elkins attempts to break him, but Black Fury escapes. In "Black Fury and the Rogue Stallion," outlaws use a black-and-white rogue stallion to challenge Black Fury, hoping to drive him from the range, but their plan backfires when the two horses fight and the rogue is defeated. A Mexican ranchero who witnessed the fight decides to help Black Fury, warning him of soldiers searching for a deserter and offering him sanctuary.
