Blue Bolt #107

This issue is an anthology featuring three superhero stories under the banner "Weird, Fantastic Stories of the Unknown." The lead story follows Blue Bolt, the Dynamic Human Lightning Streak, Sub-Zero (an Atomic Man from the frozen silences of the ice world), and Spacehawk (an Avenger of Wrong from outer space) as they join forces to combat evil in an electrifying science thriller involving a giant red monster beast. A second story, "The Sub-Zero," by Larry Antonette, depicts a Venusian expedition member who gains sub-zero temperature powers and the ability to freeze objects; stranded on Earth, he heads toward snow-capped mountains while being hunted by authorities and a military commander who seeks to weaponize his abilities. The final sequence shows Blue Bolt's iron-muscled body devastating an invading infantry force, culminating in his defeat of a powerful force gun that ultimately fells the hero.
