Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery #3
In "The Sea, Number 11: Plants of the Coral Reef," a haunting tale from Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery #3 (1963), young Pablo and Zilma flee their tribe after the witch doctor turns the villagers against them, using dark magic to blame Pablo for spreading sickness. As tensions rise and the line between fear and reality blurs, the island’s secrets—both natural and supernatural—begin to surface. With evocative art by Mike Sekowsky and Mike Peppe, and a moody cover by George Wilson, this eerie story blends tribal mystery with the unknown depths of the coral reef.
