Bullet Points #2
In "2: Trajectories in Flight," a young Peter Parker survives a gamma bomb blast only to transform into a monstrous force when provoked by his peers, unleashing chaos across the city. As Aunt May collapses from shock upon recognizing him, Steve Rogers steps back from active duty, freeing Reed Richards to finally pursue his long-abandoned rocket ambitions. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and brought to life with bold, textured art by Tommy Lee Edwards—pencils, inks, and colors all by the same hand—this issue blends high-stakes personal crisis with the quiet weight of legacy, all under a striking cover by Edwards.

Young Peter Parker has been caught in the blast of a gamma bomb but quickly and mysteriously recovers. When his so-called friends begin to taunt him, however, he turns into an incredible hulking monster who lays waste to much of the city. Aunt May recognizes Peter in his Hulk guise and her heart gives out so she is rushed to the hospital. Steve Rogers decides to go into semi-retirement, putting his Iron Man suit aside for good, which leaves Reed Richards, the man who has maintained the armor for years, the freedom to pursue his old experimental rocket project.
